The Kiwanis Club of Corrales, Inc. is committed to enhancing
the community in which we live and celebrate, during the
festival. At the end of each Harvest Festival, we seek to
donate the proceeds from the festival to non-profit
organizations in Corrales who strive to improve our quality
of life. If you are a non-profit or tax exempt under section
501(c)(3) and are based in Corrales, New Mexico, you
may submit a grant application through our grant application
process.
The Kiwanis Club
of Corrales Foundation
was able to fund some needed
programs in our community to the tune of $14,940 through
grant requests from the Corrales Harvest Festival 2010!
Corrales Fire Department - $1,940- using to purchase a
piece of equipment that will allow them to administer needed
drugs to patients in extreme emergency situations
Furs & Feathers - $500 - using towards ads that inform
our community about its wildlife
Corrales Historical Society - $500 - help defray the
costs of the free programs they offer to educate the public
on the history of our community
Corrales Senior Citizen Advisory Council
- $500 - to
supplement funds needed to provide the necessary mandated
activities at the Senior Center
Corrales Cultural Arts Council - $3,000 - funds to help
bring music to our community and our schools
Corrales Parks &
Recreation
- $3,000 - replace the path in
La Entrada Park
Rio Grande Basin Bat Project
- $500 - provide education
materials on the benefits of bats to our environment
Corrales Cycling Club - $1,000 - provide equipment for
the Bike Rodeo to educate community children on bike safety
Corrales Police Department - $2,000 - funds to put on
the D.A.R.E. program at local schools
CARMA
- $2,000-
funds to provide shots and spay/neuter services to animals
that are rescued in Corrales
